Zhupa meets President Begaj/ Cause of the law for the Academy of Sciences

The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, met today with the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj.

The meeting had to do with the law for the Academy of Sciences, a law which extends the mandate of Skënder Gjinushi at the head of this institution.

The democratic deputy told the media that the law on the Academy of Sciences violates the constitution and that she asked the president not to decree it.

She emphasizes that the latter showed interest in examining the violations found.

"The law on the Academy of Sciences violates the constitution, as it is a law tailored for Gjinushi. I have asked the president not to enact the law on the Academy of Sciences. Express interest in hearing and reviewing violations found. For me, it is important that the process is seen as a process that is not only about the Academy of Sciences, but things that are directly related to the government. I appreciated the president for the meeting he organized and for listening to me.
