Chicken meat with salmonella/ AKU conducts inspections in Vlora businesses

The National Food Authority in Vlora has launched a surprise action in dozens of businesses in Vlora for several days. The action is focused on private entities identified as at risk, where there may be trading of chicken products with salmonella.

Food safety inspectors are conducting these flash inspections, which are continuing this Thursday. According to information, the inspections have also been extended to private entities in villages and inner neighborhoods due to the risk of distribution of this product.

Part of the controls, according to information, will also be restaurants and fast food outlets in the city. These entities have also been controlled, some of them previously and others are now being controlled. At the entrance door of private entities, several information boards have been placed for customers, which identify the product that contains salmonella.

At the same time, through the signs, citizens are urged not to consume this product and return it to the entity from which they purchased it, or even if they have purchased and consumed it, to report the case. Numbers available from the AKU Vlora region have also been placed at their service. /CNA
