Minister Hoxha dismisses the important director

The Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, has signed another dismissal. official sources told CNA that the General Director of Civil Affairs, Vangjush Stavro, has been dismissed.

The decision was taken due to an impasse created with the tender for the maintenance of the National Register of Civil Status. A clash over a technical and procedural issue with the National Agency of the Information Society (AKSH) has pushed the Minister of the Interior to sacrifice his subordinate.

Vangjush Stavro was appointed head of the Civil Registry in the spring of 2021. It is not yet known who will replace him, but in any case this institution remains of special importance, especially when we have the electoral year ahead./ CNA
