During a visit to the Kubelia Mosque in the city of Kavaja, the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, gave a greeting to all Muslim believers on the Feast of Fitr Bajram.

Begaj said that this Eid al-Fitr celebration has special characteristics of solidarity and love. Love for each other, love for God.

The President emphasized that the Albanian people have shown by their deeds that they support the different, by hosting Afghan refugees and Ukrainian refugees.

The Head of State called on this day to help those who are the most unlikely, those who need more.

"From Kavaja, I wish all Muslim believers and all Albanians where they live and work a happy Eid-ul-Fitr!

I wish from the bottom of my heart that the fasting of the month of Ramadan has fulfilled the purpose of expressing the devotion of believers through sacrifice!

Sacrifice in the name of faith, I hope, will be an impetus for us, to do good deeds, for the family, for the society and for the nation.

In fact, this Eid-ul-Fitr holiday has special characteristics of solidarity and love. Love for each other, love for God.

Today in Kavaja I found myself, I met new and old friends, of different faiths, and where better than Kavaja is this religious harmony shown.

Religious coexistence and harmony for our entire nation is an extraordinary value, a value that must be preserved, promoted and why not exported. To export that value which is the best.

The Albanian people have shown by their deeds that they support the different. We have welcomed Afghan refugees, we have welcomed Ukrainian refugees, we have opened our doors in difficult days, why not also on this day make a call to help those who are the most unlikely, those who need more.

Happy Eid al-Fitr! I wish for all Albanians, goodness in their lives!", said the President./ CNA.al
