Democratic Party MP Blendi Himçi has denounced a massacre on the Shkumbi River, which, according to him, also risks the collapse of the Miraka Bridge.

In his post on social media, Himçi states that a company that is building roads has taken aggregates from the Shkumbin River, removing the bridge's legs and leaving it on the verge of collapse.

The MP says that the institutions are silent while the Shkumbin River loses its ecosystem every day. Among other things, he states that the collapse of this bridge separates all residents of the Polis Administrative Unit from the rest of the area.

"Miraka Bridge in danger! The company that is building the roads has taken the inerts from the Shkumbin River by removing the bridge legs and leaving it on the verge of collapse. This is the classic model of roads built with corruption, where private interests destroy public property and endanger the lives of residents. Institutions are silent, showing an unforgivable irresponsibility. Meanwhile, the Shkumbin River is being massacred every day, losing its beauty and ecosystem. The collapse of this bridge will disconnect all residents of the Polis Administrative Unit from the rest of the area. How long will this situation continue? How long will we allow corruption and irresponsibility to destroy our lives?", his post reads. /CNA
