This weekend will bring back to the capital the annual marathon, which has become a tradition in Tirana for 8 years.

On the occasion of this activity that will extend to the main streets of the city, the Municipality of Tirana in cooperation with the State Police have drawn up a plan of measures for the diversion of vehicle traffic.

The Tirana Marathon will start at 09:00 in the morning and will last until 16:00. Traffic will be closed until 11:00 a.m. from "Mother Teresa" square to the end of "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

In the meantime, a plan has been drawn up that envisages the diversion of the movement of vehicles and urban transport lines operating within the capital until 16:00.

The full plan of measures drawn up by the Municipality of Tirana

1. Restriction of vehicle traffic on October 19, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for the running of the "Marathon Fun Run" sports activity organized by the Municipality of Tirana, starting at "Mother Teresa" square and finish at the end of the "Dë?morët e Kombit" boulevard, next to the "Reja" installation, with the exception of emergency vehicles and the State Police

1.1. The circulation of vehicles will be done as follows:

On "Lek Dukagjini" street, "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Abdyl Frashëri" street and "Papa John Paul II" street

At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of the road, "Abdyl Frashëri" with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

At the intersection of "Bajram Curri" boulevard with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced right direction.

At the intersection of "Myslym Shyri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced direction to the right.

At the intersection of "Ismail Qemali" street with "Pope John Paul II" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Ismail Qemali" street with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

1.1. The route of the urban line vehicles will be suspended along the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard and the "Mother Teresa" square, as well as in all the road segments that intersect with the above-mentioned route, as follows:

Line No. I/A "Headquarters - Crystal Center - Train Station - Allias" and 1/B "Sun Hill 2 - Crystal - Center - Train Station - Allias" diverts to "Willson" square to continue back to "Sami" streets Frashëri" "Myslym Shyri" "Ibrahim Rugova" boulevard "Gjergi Fishta", and the rest of the route to the intersection of the Ministry of Justice.

Line No. "Old Teg-Sauk-Zoo-Former Train Station" detours to "Willson Square".

Line No. 3 "Kashar - Yzberisht - Center" diverts to Kavaja street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and to cafe "Flora", - "Mine Peza" street - "Durres" street.

Line No. "Center-QTU-Megatek City Park" deviates from "Karl Topia"-"Zogu I" square, "Fortuzi" street, "Durres" street.

Line No. 5/B "Institut-Centre" deviates from "Karl Topia" square, "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "Durres" street.

Line No. 8 "Former Train Station - New Sauk Center - Old Sauk / Sanatorium / Teg" deviates at the intersection of "Elbasan" - "Ismail Qemali" - "Bajram Curri" boulevard - "Elbasan" road.

Line No. 9 "Student City - "Jordan Misja" street deviates at the intersection of "Elbasan" street - Ismail Qemali street" - "Papa John Paul II" street - "Bajram Curri" boulevard - "Elbasan" street and the rest of the boulevard route "Zogu I" - "Fortuzi" street - "Mine Peza" street.

Line No. 10/A "New Maternity - Center - Former Aviation Field" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge and the rest to "Kavaja" road at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" road (Bank of Albania).

Line 10/B "Centre-Mihal Grameno-Centre" deviates to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re -Sharrë" diverts back to "Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" (Bank of Albania) street and the rest "Zogu I" "Fortuzi"-"Mine Peza".

Line 12/B "5 Maji - Sharre" diverts back to "Kavaja" street & "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "Mine Peza" street - "5 Maji" street.

Line No. 13 "Tirana e New" according to the clock sense to be diverted to the intersection with "Myslym Shyri" street towards "University Library" back to "Wilison" square.

Line No. 14 "Unaza" to divert to the "Elbasani" road bridge and the "Sami Frashëri" road bridge.

Line No. 15 "Kombinat-Kinostudio" to deviate to "Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest at the intersection with "Unaza e Vogël" continue straight (back TOB).

2. Restriction of vehicle traffic on October 20, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the smooth running of the "Tirana Marathon 6 2024" sports activity organized by the Municipality of Tirana, on the following routes:

In "Mother Teresa" square, continuing along "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Gjergj Filipi" street, "Pope John Paul II" street, "Ismail Qemali" street, "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Bajram Curri" boulevard with the intersection of "Elbasani" street, "George Ë Bush" street, "Abdi Toptani" street, "Zogu I" boulevard, "Ri" Boulevard, "Ded Gjo Luli" street, "Durres" street, "Kavaja" street, "Myslym Shyri" street, "Zhan D'Ark" boulevard, from the intersection with the Tirana Court Bridge, to Taiëan Bridge, "Ibrahim Rugova" street and "Lek Dukagjini" street, with the exception of emergency vehicles and the State Police.

2.1. The circulation of vehicles will be done according to the movement plan attached to this ordinance as follows:

-On the Middle Ring, except for the segment of the Tirana District Court Bridge to "Elbasani" street, "Luigj Gurakuqi" street, "Dibra" street, "Barrikadave" street, "Mine Peza" street, "Kavaja" street from "Technological Bridge" to "21 Djetori" Street, "Vaso Pasha" Street, "Ismail Qemali" Street, from the intersection with "Vaso Pasha" Street to "Sami Frashëri" Street, "Abdyl Frashëri" Street from the intersection with the square. Willison" to "Vaso Pasha" street.

At the intersection of "Elbasani" street and "Zhan D'Ark" boulevard with forced right and left directions respectively. At the intersection of the "Barricades" road with the "Dibra" road, forced directions in function of the traffic suspension in the segment of "Unaza e Vogël" with exit to the boulevard "Zogu I.

At the intersection of "Zogu I" boulevard with "Fortuzi" street, forced directions due to traffic suspension.

On the "Mine Peza" road, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the "Durres" road segment.

At the "21 Djetori" intersection, forced directions due to the suspension of traffic on the "Kavaja" road segment.

On "Myslym Shyri" road with "Sami Frasheri" road, forced direction in function of traffic suspension in the "Myslym Shyri" road segment at the exit to the ring road.

At the "Vasil Shanto" intersection, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the "Bajram Curri" boulevard segment.

At the intersection of "Pjeter Bogdani" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Pjeter Bogdani" street with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Vaso Pasha" street with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

At the intersection of "Adem Jashari" street, forced direction in function of traffic suspension in the segment of the road with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

2.2. The route of movement of vehicles on urban lines will be diverted as follows

Line No. 1/A "Headquarters - Crystal - Center - Train Station - Allias" and 1/B "Sun Hill - Crystal - Center - Train Station - Allias" is temporarily suspended.

Line No. 2 "Teg - Old Sauk - Zoo - Former Train Station" detours to "Illson Square".

Line No. 3 "Kashar - Yzberisht - Center" deviates to "21 Djetori" and to "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 4 "Centre-QTU-Megatek-City Park" deviates to "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 5/A Former Autotractor Combine — Center" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

Line No. 5/B "Institut-Centre" deviates from "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 6 "Laprakë" deviates from "Bird I".

Line No. 8 "Former Train Station-Centre- Sauk i Ri/ Sauk i Vjetër- Sanatorium-Teg" deviates to the street of "Elbasani"-roundabout "Student City".

Line No. 9 "Student City - Jordan Misja" is temporarily suspended.

Line No. 10/A "New Maternity - Center - Former Aviation Field" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re-Sarrë" deviates to "21 Djetori" in the direction of the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and then the buildings with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

Line 12/B "5 Maji-Sharrë" deviates from "Zogu I" to "21 Djetori" in the direction of the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and beyond the palaces with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

Line No. 13 "Tirana e New" diverts to "Illson" square and the rest to "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 15 "Kombinat-Kinostudio" divert to "Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Muhamet Gjollesha" street (December 21) and the rest at the intersection with Unaza e Vogël continue straight (behind TOB).

Line No. 16 "Green Line" is temporarily suspended.

2.3. The circulation of vehicles for mixed transport, technology and passenger transport (except for urban transport vehicles) inside the big ring is prohibited on October 20, 2024, from 08.00 - 16.00.

3. The General Directorate of Public Works Investments, the General Directorate of City Promotion, the General Directorate of Roads and Public Lighting, the "Tirana Parking" Agency, the Municipal Police and the State Police are responsible for the implementation of this ordinance.
