Strasbourg court: EncroChat wiretapping is legal, can be used as evidence

The Strasbourg court has ruled that the wiretapping of the EncroChat chat app, which has been used mainly by people involved in the criminal world, is legal.

Crime figures are in trouble after this decision, as international actions have been taken in many countries based on the conversations broken by Enchro and Sky.

This decision will also have an impact in Albania, as many investigations have been carried out by SPAK, based on the conversations revealed in France by these applications.

As for the transcripts of the conversations, Strasbourg says they are legal and can be used as evidence.

In Albania, one of the arrested characters, Edi Rama's friend and strategic investor, Pëllumb Gjoka, has filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court where he demands the dismissal of SPAK's evidence regarding the EncroChat interceptions./ Syri tv
