28 protests have been held in front of Tirana City Hall, against the mayor Erion Verliaj.

These protests were organized by the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater and were supported by the opposition.

But, as it has been warned, the protests have not stopped. Tomorrow, the 29th protest has been announced, which will take place at 11:00, in front of the Tirana City Hall.

The demand of the protesters is the resignation of the mayor Veliaj and his confrontation with justice.

Recent protests have been quiet, while there have been warnings that they could escalate.

On the other hand, the police have taken measures for the smooth progress of the protest.

We remind you that the protests started after the scandal that gripped the municipality, where most of the directors ended up in prison due to tender abuses and the incinerator affair./ CNA
