Manja called SPAK: Focus on organized crime, there is an increase in cases

The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, has called on SPAK to focus on the fight against organized crime, as according to him there is an increase in the number of cases.

Manja, while reporting the recommendations of the Council of Ministers to the Law Commission, stated that the fight against organized crime should be the focus of SPAK. It also highlighted the increase in issues related to organized crime.

"There is an increase in the number of cases regarding organized crime, we encourage the special prosecution that the focus should be on organized crime and the assets that organized crime has. Because the fight against organized crime has a tremendous impact on public opinion and on increasing public opinion's trust in the special anti-corruption structure," said Manja.

In contrast to organized crime, Manja praised the work for the fight against corruption.

"In the fight against corruption, the general prosecutor's office and SPAK have increased their active role in preliminary investigations, both through the investigations initiated mainly and in conducting proactive investigations and using special investigation tools mainly for criminal offenses in the field of corruption"- he added.
