The defense lawyer of the former Minister of the Interior Saimir Tahiri, Maks Haxhia, told the media that his client met all the conditions for alternative punishment.
According to the lawyer, it has been decided that Tahiri will serve the rest of the sentence because he has minor children and his wife is sick.
Haxhia emphasized that during this time until the sentence is served, Tahiri will keep in touch with the probation service.
"Tahiri has minor children, his wife is sick. Tahiri will keep in touch with the evidence service. Tahiri meets the conditions for alternative punishment", said Maks Haxhia.
