The head of the Academy of Sciences, Skënder Gjinushi, has stated that the Academy of Albanian Studies cannot remain in the system of higher schools.

In a press conference, Gjinushi stated that the goal is coordination and not usurpation of the academy.

According to Gjinushi, ASA should have been the first to applaud VKM for the transfer of ASA to the Academy of Sciences.

" ASA cannot stay in the system of high schools and points. They don't want a special status. The special status is only in the Academy of Sciences.

All the units that are established here academics bear the responsibility of direction. Our goal is coordination not usurpation.

The ASA budget is controlled by the institutes.

Its budget will come through the Academy.
