The former socialist mayor of Elbasan, Qazim Sejdini, passed away this Wednesday.
Sejdini passed away due to a serious illness at the age of 73.
Qazim Sejdini has led the Municipality of Elbasan for 3 consecutive terms. He was at the head of the municipality from 2007 to 2019.
In 2019, he left the SP lists and did not run again. His successor is the current mayor of Elbasan, Gledjan Llatja.
The former mayor started his political career from the post of prefect in 2002. He was previously president of the Association of Customs Officers of Albania and president of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Albania./ CNA
