"The conflicts have made the demand for weapons, for food or other goods that are procured in these NATO agencies increase a lot. The great world of growing conflicts has also brought increased demand and we invite you to take advantage of these contracts. You already have more than 30 years of experience. We have excellent companies that every time they have gone abroad, they have gained trust because they have raised the standard", said the Minister of Defense.

In this activity that was held at the Invasion Center, Minister Peleshi highlighted some of the projects that are coming to life at this center and that will help businesses.

"Until yesterday, there was a wall between the Ministry of Defense and the business world. It seemed a taboo and an impenetrable sector for what is happening today in the world of innovation and technology. The opposite is true. Today we have great national opportunities, but behind us is another curtain, which will open today and is many times greater, the opportunity of NATO", Minister Peleshi explained.

In front of the entrepreneurs, the minister also spoke about the new initiative for the revitalization of the military industry in the country.

"We are working hard to build the legal and later institutional framework of the military industry in our country. You all know that we come from a past of an army tyranny, where all the people were soldiers, then it was followed by another time of compulsory demilitarization, and today we are at a time when we have outgrown this part of history. We are members of NATO, we want and must play our part in the military industry of the Alliance. We have assets of the past, which with joint investments can be reactivated. But first we need an appropriate legal framework and investment incentives. We mean here not only foreign investors, but we also have Albanian investors who may not have experience in this field, but are ready to be partners in this new industry that will start to come to life this year. It is a meeting to open the curtains of opportunities and to cooperate with Albanian enterprises", said Mr. Peleshi.

"Industry Day" was born as an idea in Brussels in February. Therefore, in this meeting, the Minister of Defense also thanked Dorina Canin, contract officer at the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA), who contributed to the organization and provision of the necessary information for business representatives./ CNA
