KPA upholds the dismissal of judge Bari Shyti

The College unanimously decided to finally remove the Administrative Appeals judge from the justice system.

The Special Board of Appeal, KPA announced on Wednesday, May 29, the decision to uphold the dismissal of the judge of the Court of Administrative Appeals, Bari Shyti.

The decision was taken unanimously by the panel of the College chaired by Ina Rama, with rapporteur Albana Shtylla and members Natasha Mulaj, Rezarta Schuetz and Sokol Çomo, after consideration in the advisory room of the appeal made by the subject against the decision-making of the Independent Commission of Qualifications, KPK for his removal from office.

Bari Shyti was dismissed from the KPK on March 25, 2021 for problems in the wealth criterion. The Commission then concluded that Shyti had made contradictory and incorrect statements, as well as that he had not justified his wealth with legal sources.

Bari Shyti started his career in the justice system in 1993 and first worked in the Courts of Bulqiza and Dibra. In 2013, he was decreed as a judge in the Administrative Court of Durrës and from 2016 until his dismissal from office, he exercised his function in the Court of Administrative Appeals./ Reporter.al
