The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, received the Foreign Minister of Albania, Igli Hasani, in a meeting.

Through a post on social networks, Varhelyi says that the goal is to open membership negotiations for the First Cluster by the end of this year.

"Albania, as a negotiating country, has continued to make progress in reforms related to the EU.

I met Minister Igli Hasani on the sidelines of the meeting of EU and Western Balkan Ministers to discuss the next steps.
