Five terrorism suspects were arrested by Eurojust and Europol on November 9, following an international operation involving Belgian, Croatian, German, Lithuanian, Romanian and Italian authorities. During the joint operation against right-wing terrorism, 5 suspects were arrested and 7 others were interrogated in different locations.

Those arrested are suspected of belonging to a right-wing organization that used an online platform for terrorist-related activities, including distributing violent extremist propaganda, actively recruiting new members and sharing printed weapons manuals. 3D.

The case was opened by Eurojust in July 2023 at the request of the Belgian authorities. Two coordination meetings were organized by the Agency to facilitate judicial cooperation between the authorities of the countries involved in the investigation.

The exchange of information facilitated by Europol was intensive with over 350 SIENA messages exchanged as part of this investigation. On the day of the action, a joint operational command room was set up at Europol headquarters to coordinate the various actions taking place simultaneously in all the countries involved.
