The Parliament of Albania has reacted to the accusations made this Saturday by the spokeswoman for Anti-Corruption in the DP, Genta Vangjeli, who said that 12 million euros or 12.8 billion lek has been spent by Lindita Nikolla in the last 10 months on luxury trips and office furnishings.

In the reaction made by the Assembly, it is said that today's statement from the Pulpit is full of untruths and fabrications, which do not correspond to reality.

According to them, the expenses referred to in the pulpit statement are expenses for the functioning of the Assembly of Albania and not luxury expenses at all.

The Assembly also published the figures with the corresponding expenses:

For transparency, we inform the public that the budget of the Assembly for 2023 is: 1,513,843,540 lek of which;

For salaries: 829,700,000 ALL.

Social security: 112,384,000 ALL.

Operating expenses: 479,556,000 ALL.

Parliamentary quota: 15,090,000 ALL.

Special fund: ALL 2,113,540.

Capital expenditure: 75,000,000 ALL.

Realization as a 10-month: ALL 1,085,948,857.

Finally, we underline that the financial resources of the Assembly of Albania are available to all deputies, regardless of party affiliation.

The Assembly also informs that the planning, detailing and use of the financial resources of the Assembly of Albania, according to the budget programs, is decided and approved by the Bureau of the Assembly, a body in which the MPs of the opposition are also members.
