Bledi Çuçi and Oltion Bistri

Oltion Bistri, the former head of the Directorate of Special Operational Forces in the General Directorate of the State Police, was arrested during the operation "Metamorfoza" in July of this year, by order of SPAK.

Oltion Bistri was dismissed from this position only 4 days before the arrest, a post to which he was appointed in February 2022.

During the time that Bistri was appointed the director of Operations at the head of the State Police was Gladis Nano, while the Ministry of the Interior was headed by Bledi Çuçi.

Gladis Nano ran away from the State Police, while Çuçi continued to keep Oltion Bistri in the top position. From this important task, this person who was put in handcuffs for his connections with organized crime ran away only a few days after Taulant Balla came to head the Ministry of the Interior.

No one has been held responsible for the appointment to the high post of Bistr until now, when about 4 months have passed since the arrest. Bledi Çuçi, who was the Minister of the Interior, does not explain why he kept Oltion Bistri in office.

Furthermore, it should be emphasized that SHISH had provided complete information about Bistri, which included his suspicious connections.

The investigations of the former Serious Crimes Prosecutor's Office, which had wiretapping and investigated Oltion Bistri for connection with drug trafficking to Macedonia, should not be left aside.

Who is responsible for the former high-ranking police official connected with the crime who is today accused of "Abuse of duty" and "Disclosure of secret acts or data"?

Is Bledi Çuçi responsible?

Is Muhamet Rrumbullaku responsible?

Why has no one been held accountable for the former Chief of Operations and other senior police officials who are related to crime and have abused their duties.

Officials are arrested and no one bears public and political responsibility.

Çuçi must give an account to SPAK for the connections of officials with persons with criminal records and the actions they have carried out in favor of criminals./ CNA
