The file against Rudina Degjon goes to trial/ the Director of the Fier Hospital

This Monday, the Fier Prosecutor's Office has sent the General Director of the Fier Memorial Hospital, Rudina Degjoni, to trial.

Degjon is accused of abuse of office.

From the investigations, it has been proven that she allowed the illegal performance of stomach botox procedure on patients in this public hospital.

The director of the Fier hospital has developed medical procedures with stomach botox medical preparations that were not purchased by the hospital itself, but were found outside the hospital for which the patients made their payments.

"Given that the procedures were done illegally in this hospital, there is a lack of relevant documentation related to the verification of the expiration date and the country of origin of the preparations", the prosecution informs.

The procedure was carried out outside any type of legal and technical standards for the patients and carried a serious risk to their lives and health, as well as damaging the interests and image of a public health institution./ CNA
