A wide group of experts in the Ministry of Justice is drafting a series of changes to the Criminal Code, where they have increased the number of criminal offenses in the traffic rules.

According to the draft, a number of violations will become punishable as criminal offenses and the punishment will be from a fine to 3 years in prison.

Specifically, criminal offenses will be defined as: Wrong overtaking, driving vehicles not respecting the signs, driving vehicles in an irregular manner and not taking measures to make the stopped or damaged vehicle recognizable at a sufficient distance.

Experts demand punishment for these violations, as a person's health is at risk or damage to a property of considerable value.

The changes will not only affect drivers, but also the judiciary.

If the lawyers are not present in the court proceedings for the detainees without a reasonable or legal cause, causing a suspension of the trial, they will be punished with a fine, and if this happens again, they will receive a judicial reprimand.

Even prosecutors or judges who are absent from hearings can be prosecuted and fined, up to the removal of the right to exercise public functions.
