The chairman of the small and medium-sized business association of Albania, Albert Nasto, has issued a statement to the media, making strong accusations against the Directorate of Taxes and the head of this institution, Daniela Liço. Nasto focused on some of the most important issues that concern businesses in the Korca region and beyond.

First, he emphasized the fact that director Liço has been in this position for 5 years as a subordinate, while the law allows it to be only 1 year, since only the appointed can last so many years.

Informality is another aspect that affects businesses, including corruption, tax evasion, bribery and selectivity. According to Nastos, the income from businesses is millions of lek, but it is not included in the state budget.

Selectivity is another problem that worries businesses in the southeastern region, while from the data of this association it is said that there are also pressures from the institution that have led to the closure of the activity.

Among other things, Nasto states that they will report this situation to SPAK, and more specifically the head of this institution, calling on Prime Minister Edi Rama to take measures as soon as possible.

It is expected that the complaint will soon be filed with Spak for abuse of office by the head of the tax department in Korça district./ CNA
