In Rome, a crowd of "idiots" march and protest, since it is May 1st. Workers, young people, farmers, pensioners, communists....

We Albanians, every May 1st, would parade in front of the leadership. Squares of soldiers with weapons, working class, cooperatives, youth and students, with bouquets of flowers. What happiness to see the leaders up close.

The last parade was in 1989, I also marched as a student. What pride….

In 1990, Ramiz Alia, knowing that communism was dead, took a walk by the lake on May 1st.

And from that day on, Ramo left us a legacy.

Every May 1st is just a celebration, never a protest. He also left us the parties he himself created a few months later.
