Sharra landfill on the verge of disaster/ Rama: We give money to keep Tirana

On April 27, CNA brought some footage from the Sharra landfill, which is on the verge of disaster.

150 million euros missing for a non-existent incinerator that robbed the pockets of poor Albanian citizens. Payments for the incinerators continue.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the "Sy M'Sy" column, seems to have turned a blind eye to this catastrophe and the stolen money of citizens.

Regarding the incinerators, the Prime Minister stated that they are not providing money for incinerators, but to keep Tirana clean, as the Tirana incinerator, which does not exist, has been seized by the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets.

"We don't give money for incinerators. We give money so that Tirana can continue to be kept clean, the Tirana landfill is owned by the state today as we speak. The Sequestered Assets Agency has had it for a long time now, there are people appointed by the state. They get money to do the work because that work is expensive. I said it then, some didn't want to hear it, I said 25 euros per ton is a price that today in Europe, you can't find anywhere.

"Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, where other developments will need to be made in this field, how will such low prices be found?" said the Prime Minister.

Incinerators are not just a financial scandal, but an environmental, moral crisis and a crime without punishment./ CNA
