DP lobbying contract with American company/ SPAK begins verification

The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office has announced that it has begun verification of a lobbying contract signed by the Democratic Party.

"We inform you that the Special Prosecution Office has begun verifications regarding the Democratic Party's lobbying contract," reads the SPAK press office's announcement.

This announcement comes after news circulated in several media outlets a day earlier that the Democratic Party had signed a $6 million lobbying contract.

In a statement yesterday, the Democratic Party announced that this amount is being paid 100% by Albanian patriots who have lived and worked in the US for decades.

 

" Regarding information distributed in the media about the DP's lobbying of the US Government and Congress, we would like to clarify the following:

The Albanian-American community, through the “Make Albania Great Again” foundation, has contracted the “Continental” company to help consolidate the friendly relations of the Democratic Party as the largest opposition force with the US Congress and Government. The goal of our compatriots in the US is the cooperation of the DP with Albania’s main ally to restore functional democracy and the rule of law in Albania.

The Continental company is led by Ambassador Carlos Trujillo, who is also known as President Trump's lawyer and a staunch anti-communist in his stances!

The financial contribution to achieve this goal has been undertaken 100% by Albanian patriots who have lived and worked in the USA for decades, as well as other democrats who have left Albania for the past 10 years due to Edi Rama's regime!

"The Democratic Party, thanking the anti-communist Democrats of the Albanian-American community for their generosity and patriotism, clarifies to the public that although it has agreed to receive this service in full compliance with the laws of both countries, there is no financial burden or contractual obligation arising from this agreement ," it said in yesterday's statement./ CNA
