Unauthorized meetings with Roven Zeka/ SPAK launches investigations into police officials

The Special Prosecution Office has initiated investigative actions against several police officials after they held unauthorized meetings with Roven Zeka, the director of the Traffic Police, who is behind bars on corruption charges.

According to media reports, SPAK has received statements from at least 2 police chiefs and 1 deputy director in the capital.

Telephone equipment was also seized. A businessman belonging to prosecutor Elida Kaçkini was also the subject of the investigation.

The investigative body has also seized security cameras, and questioned the responsible persons at the Security Block on "Mine Peza" Street, to shed more light on the meetings with the detainee and their purpose. / CNA
