Albania's integration into the EU/ President of Slovenia: Albania has met

The President of Slovenia, Natasha Pirc Musari, today delivered her speech in the Parliament of Albania as she spoke about Albania's membership in the EU. Musar has stated that Albania is ready to become part of the EU.

The president emphasized that the entire Western Balkans region must be united, as they will fail divided.

President Musar underlined the fact that there is only one way to face the challenges and that is teamwork, since small countries are weak.

"Albania meets the conditions for opening the first cluster of negotiations for EU membership. Slovenia looks forward to welcoming Albania's EU membership and increasing cooperation.

The region must be united. There is only one way to face challenges. In sports, it is known as teamwork", said the President.

He further spoke about the war in Ukraine, saying that Russia is aggressive and has violated the international charter.

Musar says that the killings must stop now and those who commit crimes against humanity must be punished.  

"Russia doesn't seem to be stopping. Military rhetoric in Europe is high and this worries us. I believe that the role of diplomacy has not been addressed properly. Progress has been made in the negotiations. The Russian authorities must understand that Russia is an aggressor that has violated the international charter. We must insist that the murders must end and those who commit crimes against humanity be punished", said the President in her speech in the Parliament of Albania./ CNA
