Journalist Elvi Fundi spoke today about some of the well-known judicial processes related to politics and investigative issues that are followed with great interest by the entire public opinion, such as the file against Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, the trial of Jamarbër Malltez and Ervin Salianja.

Invited to an interview on 'Syri Tv', Fundo said that unlike other cases, in the Veliaj case, a voluminous amount of work has been carried out by the justice bodies. 

"Seen from a journalist's perspective and from a legal perspective, these are two different things. He can act like Malltezi and he can seek freedom. It is proven that Veliaj can destroy evidence. While the case of Salianj is different. In the case of Veliaj, even though there have been rumors from the incinerator media, today the high quality of the investigations against Veliaj is unprecedented. It is a work with over tens of thousands of pages. It is a voluminous work," Fundo said.  

Fundo highlighted the work of SPAK head Altin Dumani and prosecutor Ols Dado in the Veliaj case, which he described as an excellent standard.

"An excellent standard has been set by Ols Dado and Altin Dumani. A quick and accurate investigation into the charges has been carried out. These charges are 13 and the official charge should not be delayed. The official charge should be sent so that there are no doubts. Of course, the prosecutors will send the files as soon as possible and will also send them to the GJKKO. They will issue new files and open other files", - Fundo said./CNA
