"The first time in history that we are welcomed in this way"/ Rama:

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the joint conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, thanked the latter for the magnificent reception he received today.

Rama has expressed that he is very proud of Albania and friendship.

He emphasizes that it was the first time in the history of Albania-France relations that a representative of Albania was received in this way.

Rama also spoke about the process of integration in the EU, where he emphasized that beyond the bureaucracy today, Albania and the countries of the Western Balkans have very positive results in terms of integration.  

"Today I am really proud of Albania, for this friendship. It was the first time in our history of our diplomatic relations that a representative was received in this way. This means a lot for Albania and Albanians. Today there are many people who are in Albania to invest and this is a revolution.

I want to thank you for two things: for the vision, the determination, which you have pushed this new wave of rapprochement between the countries of the Balkans and the EU by putting on the table the need to accompany this process of integration in a process of acceptance beyond the bureaucracies of each country, today we are witnessing the results for Albania and the Balkans.

A strong, united Europe that does not remain hostage to the old traditional methods of integration. Today we are in a completely different, quite positive situation. I also want to thank you for the visit to Albania because beyond the visit there was a continuation that touched and surprised us a lot that there are projects, there are things that are taking shape, we have a new common horizon, where large investments and French funding have started for the voltaic parks in the Balkans", says Rama. / CNA
