The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group has reacted to the "fake news" that his sister Alba Balla is behind the entities controlled last evening by SPAK.

Balla emphasizes that lies travel fast, but the truth always arrives. Balla underlined that fake news is a serious health problem for society and democracy.

He further calls on the media to stop and check the source before publishing news for clicks without any verification, as the damage they cause with fake news is real.

"I believe we all agree that instruments need to be created in the hands of citizens to understand truths, half-truths, and outright lies. Lies travel very quickly, but the truth always arrives."

At a time when fake news spreads at an alarming rate, the damage it causes is real. Misinformation, anger and loss of trust. Clicking and every distribution without verification gives strength to the lie, so let's stop, check the source and think critically. It is an act of civic responsibility. The truth does not need to shout, it stands even when its voice is a little quieter.

CNA recently reported the reaction of Alba Balla, Taulant Balla's sister, who stated that she has no connection with the entities controlled by SPAK, neither does she know them nor has she ever entered the building where the controls were carried out.

"I neither know it nor have any idea, I am at home with my children, nor have I ever had any connection in my life with the 'call center' or their people. Nor with the building, I have never entered that building and I no longer have an office", Alba Balla declared to CNA./ CNA
