The US once again openly supports SPAK

The United States of America has once again expressed support for the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has emphasized that the strengthening of institutions that fight organized crime and drug trafficking, such as SPAK, BKH, and the Security Academy, will continue.

Among other things, Rubio has emphasized that criminal organizations, especially those involved in drug trafficking, are the greatest threat to US security and destabilize nations as well as lead to mass immigration.

Reaction of the US Embassy in Tirana:

"And as Secretary Rubio said, international criminal and terrorist organizations, particularly those engaged in narcotics trafficking, are the greatest threat to United States security in the Western Hemisphere, where these groups are destabilizing nation-states and driving mass migration. We will vigorously pursue President Trump's priorities in Albania, strengthening institutions that combat organized crime and narcotics trafficking such as SPAK, BKH, and the Security Academy." - Charge d'Affaires Nancy VanHorn at the closing ceremony of the FBI-led training for SPAK and BKH investigators at the Security Academy.
