Today's session in the Special Court for the "Gërdeci" case was accompanied by strong debates, where one of the defense lawyers was also excluded. 

In the session, the questioning of 5 experts who determined the economic damage caused by the explosion of March 15, 2008, Bexhed Zeqiri- financial accountant, Ymer Stafa- financial economist, Rasim Metallari- financier, Latif Çela- financier, and Mondi Hoxha- employees in the private sector.

At the beginning of the session, the experts asked for time to be able to answer all the questions because they would have to consult, but here Mediu's lawyer Ardian Visha intervened, who started asking questions to the expert Zeqiri, which GJKKO considered them as unacceptable questions.

Although the Court called his attention several times, Visha did not withdraw until Judge Gjoka decided to exclude him from the hearing for violating the Code of Ethics.

The court appreciated that because the act of expertise is voluminous and the fact that it was compiled by 5 experts as well as the long time that has passed since 2008, it leaves time for the experts to consult the notes and other documents.

The next session is expected to take place on July 17. 

In an appearance for the media after the end of the session, Mediu said that it is all an absurd process. He requested that a new expert report be made, stressing that so far it has been shown that he has no interest in the truth.

"This is an absurd situation. We must have a proper process, not just to pass the queue. There is no interest in the truth, this is clearly seen in the court hearings. This is a dead end. To make an expert report of ri, to see the minister's responsibilities. They must say where the minister's responsibilities are," he said./ CNA
