Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his interview this evening, also spoke about the issue of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, who today formalized his candidacy for the MEP in the party of Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis.
Rama, referring to Beler, said that Himara does not deserve for any reason to become a victim of the fires, which are lit by people hiding in the party that is led by "non-women".
"I don't want to comment on the former acting mayor of Himara, as he is in court proceedings.
But the election in the Council showed a completely different reality, from the one perceived by our Greek friends.
Elections are one day, but the lives of those living in Himare continue every day. Conflicts must not continue, as there people cannot live forever, running away from the shadow of conflict.
The last election showed that Himara can be run without conflict.
Himara does not deserve for any reason to fall prey to the fires, which are lit by people hiding in the party that is run by "non-women".
The elections must be announced by the President of the Republic.
If the Court decides that Beler is innocent, then he will continue to serve as mayor. If he is found guilty by the Court, then we will have new elections in Himara." / CNA
