The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has requested the arrest and imprisonment of the former mayor of the Municipality of Bërxulla, Ymer Marku and 2 former officials as well as a citizen.
The four persons are accused of obtaining 7,500 m2 of land in the village of Bërxulle through forgery.
Ymer Marku together with the two former officials KB, AL, are accused of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" and the citizen KA for the criminal offenses "Forgery of documents" and "Cleaning the products of the criminal offense".
Ymer Marku was Lulzim Basha's candidate for Vora during the partial elections of 2022.
Basha did not lack support for Ymer Marku, calling him a potential candidate of the Democratic Party for Vora./ CNA
