President Bajram Begaj held a press conference, together with his counterpart from Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in Pristina.

Begaj said that the relations between the two countries are good and brotherly, stressing that Albania and Kosovo are two states of the same nation.

He also said that Albania will be a good advocate for Kosovo for new recognition and membership in international organizations, and expressed hope for the vote that will be held tomorrow by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for Kosovo's membership.

"I wouldn't call the relations between the two states very good, but they are extremely good and fraternal. We are two states and one nation, We have the duty to be next to each other in good and difficult days. The agreements we have signed must be implemented and affected by the people as soon as possible. I think that the Port of Durrës or the railway that will connect the countries faster are important for us.

Our foreign policy is aligned with the European and Atlantic one. After a successful term in the SC, we will be a good advocate for Kosovo for new recognition and membership in international organizations. I am hopeful that tomorrow we will have a successful vote in KiE. This will give us more inspiration to do good work in the future", said Begaj./ CNA
