Still no results/ Search continues for the body of the 30-year-old in Klos

The search for the body of 30-year-old Jurgen Karaj from the village of Fullqet in Klos has been ongoing for 26 days, without any results. The young man is suspected to have been swept away by the strong current of the Darsi sandbank on January 10.

Since the day of the disappearance, search operations have been carried out without interruption along the Mat River. Every day, dozens of personnel from the Third Battalion of the Burrel Infantry Division, family members of the young man, as well as other support structures, have been engaged in the field.

Since January 29, a specialized team from the Kosovo Security Forces has joined the search. More than 11 KSF personnel are engaged in the operation every day, in cooperation with Albanian forces.

The entire Mati riverbed has been searched several times, but so far neither the 30-year-old's body nor any sign that could lead to the unraveling of his fate has been found. In parallel, searches have also focused on the Ulza Lake water basin.

Kosovo Security Forces have been using an underwater drone at the entrance to the lake, checking the deep areas. As of February 3, the operation has not yielded any concrete results.

Authorities say that the search will continue, while the significant drop in the Mat River's flow is expected to facilitate control of the terrain by the groups involved. /CNA
