The Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu, reacted today to some speculation about the return of skateboards to circulation.

Through a post on social media, Koçiu explains that the instruction banning the circulation of skateboards remains in force.

"FALSE!

The instruction to ban the circulation of skateboards remains in force. There is no decision to lift the temporary ban. The State Police continues its daily engagement in the field to guarantee the full implementation of this instruction, in accordance with the official announcements made earlier.

I express my gratitude to citizens for their cooperation and understanding in respecting this measure, which aims to protect the safety and lives of people, especially young people.

State Police and trauma services data confirm a significant decrease in the number of accidents during the period of its implementation.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with the responsible institutions, is continuing to assess the situation to determine the most appropriate decision-making, placing the safety and life of every citizen at the center of every step," Koçiu said./ CNA
