The rain and hail have covered the area of ??Kolonje yesterday afternoon, causing considerable damage to agricultural products in some of the villages of this municipality. More than 1 hour of rain has completely destroyed the agricultural products and fruit crops of the villages of Rehovë, Starje, Prodan, Taç and Gjonç. A chaotic situation which has brought concern to the farmers of the area, who have currently suffered great damage to the products they cultivated since March until today.

Farmers tell what happened yesterday afternoon in Cologne, with the rain and the hail that was violent and destroyed the entire production, starting from wheat and corn, to fruits such as apples, pears, and cherries.

"Yesterday there was a disaster in the village of Rehovë, in fruit growing, orchards, everything went to zero. The work of March, April, May, June all went to waste. The worst thing is that in this place and at this time they are not planted again others. They are all broken. We have opened an inn and the garden for this. So far they have not come to verify , maybe they'll come later. We're cleaning up to get the inn working again."

For the farmers of the village of Rehovo, none of the destroyed products can be renewed. They expect help from the state to compensate them and provide them, since for the farmers everything is multiplied by zero.

"The hail yesterday started at 16:30-17:00 and caused considerable damage, especially in the agricultural sector. Here are the damages to the bean plant that is no longer renewed, to tomatoes, to peppers, leeks, and to wheat that is the first sector of agriculture. The hailstorm lasted about 1 and a half hours here in Rehova, with great force and destruction. Since the fruit trees, grapes, pears, all in a row, in cherries, Hazelnut. The damage is irreparable, we expect the state to provide us with what is now multiplied by zero. The municipality has fixed the roads. The administrator of this area, Altin Zoto, shows the rainfall situation and the significant damage to agriculture. He says that the municipality has intervened in the roads that have been damaged by the outflow of streams, to regulate the circulation of residents, while there are work groups on the ground that are going to every village to verify the damage caused by the hailstorm.

"The rain and hailstorms started around 4 pm and lasted for about 1 hour and 15 minutes without a break. They caused a lot of damage to village roads, rivers burst their banks and caused a lot of damage to orchards. We can multiply by zero because it destroyed all the trees everywhere, in Rehova and Taçi, and in Gjonç and Prodan We have set up a working group from the municipality and they are going from village to village to verify the damage , are only material damages."

Large areas of agricultural land, orchards and fruit crops have been affected by the heavy rain and hail, mainly in the area at the foot of the Gramoz mountain. Farmers are already in the eyes of the government and the state, as this natural disaster has damaged all their production, making it irreparable.
