The appeal of GJKKO gives the decision/ 3 years in prison for Gjici and one for Alma Kaçi

This Monday, the Special Court of Appeal overturned the decision of the First Instance for Safet Gjicin, ultimately sentencing him to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

The former mayor of Kukes was sentenced by a final decision, not for "abuse of duty", but for the criminal offense of "passive corruption".

Gjici benefits from the abbreviated trial, deducting 1/3 of the sentence, namely 3 years in prison.

On the other hand, Alma Kaçi, the girl who appeared in the video scandal with the former mayor of Kukes, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.

Kaçi was convicted in the First Degree for prostitution, but the Special Court of Appeal sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison for corruption.

From 1 year and 6 months in prison, Alma Kaçi benefits from a shortened trial and will only serve 1 year in prison./ CNA
