The President of the Order of Veterinarians, Ervin Resuli, has published a message on "WhatsApp", where veterinarians are asked to like and share on their social networks the page of the Minister of Agriculture and some institutions depending on her.

Resuli urges vets to reject these messages and disobey a political order.

He writes on social networks that the implementation of such an order contradicts the principles of veterinarians, while he demands that every case of abuse be reported to the Order of the Veterinary Doctor.

Dear fellow veterinarians,

Some of you have expressed legitimate concerns about duties that are not related to the noble profession of Veterinary Medicine. Any attempt to force you to perform work unrelated to your primary function as a Veterinarian is abuse of you. The compulsion to open profiles on Facebook, Instagram or other social networks, or orders to "like" and "share" news of ministers, directors or others, contradict the principles of our professional oath.

We are not party representatives and do not intend to serve or support ministers or directors through our social media activities. Our profession is clear in its objectives for fulfilling the law: "The humane doctor saves man, the veterinary doctor saves humanity". Any attempt to violate the Veterinarian's oath and code of ethics deserves scorn and contempt.

Dear colleagues, you must be proud and maintain the dignity to withstand the absurd and unjustifiable demands of the "Anatolians". We are Veterinarians and we protect our dignity ourselves. I urge you to report any case of abuse to the Order of Veterinary Medicine to uphold the dignity of our profession.
