Ditmir Bushati in his "Public Square" podcast discussed with the only consensual president in Albania, Alfred Moisiu.

In his speech, Bushati says that much has changed since then, but the need for qualitative change, national awareness, clean governance and the exercise of political responsibilities is greater than ever.

Speaking about the situation with justice, former President Moisiu says that he believes in SPAK, although there are criticisms for slowness.

We are a small country and you are not alone, you have a wife, a sister, a brother, a son or daughter. Fatherland

For former President Moisiu, the feeling we have for the homeland cannot be an improvised thing. It must be born, educated.

"I have said it many times, even when I went to Kosovo and North Macedonia in various meetings with Albanians, I told them that I belong to a generation that in 1936-1937 sang in school about Kosovo and Chameri , here is death, here is freedom". We were in Kalamaj, but we had the feeling", he continues.

The man with a long career in uniform remembers his years as a student and how at that time he cultivated the feeling for the homeland.

"The dormitory was a military regime and I didn't move, but on Saturdays and Sundays I went to the National Library and I read the first books "For the protection of the homeland" and "The flower of memory" and they are the books that have educated me why and how to you love your country, your nation. This is very important," he says.

The century of the Albanians

This century, if we can call it that, is the century of the Albanians.

According to the former President, we have established many rights that others have finally given us. We can say that Europe has had an impact, not compassion, but has reflected positively by negating past actions.

But, if you still look at it, you can't believe that it is the old trends. I have spoken everywhere in conferences where I have been given the opportunity that, 'look, you are tired of Vucic, it cannot become Western Vucic, it is over'.

We are wasting the time that history has made available to us and we must turn around.

"I have appealed to our Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences of Kosovo and our defense policy should be national. We must protect ourselves as a nation. It is not done by making a few calls, give so much money to Kosovo, it is not the problem there. The problem is in the mentality. The prime minister of Kosovo and the prime minister of Albania, the president of Kosovo and the president of Albania in terms of defense as a nation must have common thoughts.
