This Friday, the universities of Albania held the elections for the management structures.

Akli Fundo has been elected rector at the Polytechnic University. He received 96% of the votes of teachers and students. Previously, Akli Fundo was vice rector at this university.

Akli Fundo comes from the "Fundo" family of mathematicians. He is the son of Thimaq Fundo, who worked all his life as a math teacher, sometimes in Korça and sometimes in the surrounding villages.

His father left the memory of a scientifically prepared teacher, with culture and education, who loved and was loved by his students. Even his uncle, Michel Fundo, was a born talent in mathematics.

Other predecessors of the newly elected rector were also mathematicians.

Akli Fundo has followed in their footsteps. Today he is also a mathematician and a mathematics lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He holds scientific degrees and pedagogical titles.
