Today, the 13th protest took place in front of the Tirana Municipality, where citizens, representatives of the opposition, artists and members of the Civil Society were present. 

The protest lasted only 1 hour and was not accompanied by clashes between the protesters and the police. At one point, the protesters only caused a fire in front of the building. 

Even in today's protest, the citizens were angry and called Veliaj a thief and a predator and vowed that they will remove him from the Municipality of Tirana and will never surrender. 

At the protest, the political leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, also spoke, who said that they have in their hands other documents for Erion Veliaj that implicate him in corrupt affairs. 

Kelliçi emphasized that this time Veliaj has "a nail saw" and that the Democratic Party will not give up at any moment, until he is expelled from the Municipality of Tirana. 

The former deputy called Veliaj a human waste and said that he will receive the deserved response from the citizens. 

The next protest is expected to take place next Friday, on June 28.

These protests came as a result of the corrupt affairs that happened in the Municipality of Tirana, the affair with the incinerators and the "5D" file. 

Mayor Erion Veliaj has also been summoned to SPAK for these issues. /CNA
