Since being appointed head of RTSH, Alfred Peza has carried out a series of dismissals. According to the denunciations, Peza has dismissed hundreds of employees without any motivation from their jobs, while others have resigned due to the pressure exerted on them.
Regarding the dismissals, some employees saw it as reasonable to confront them in court, while more than 20 others filed a lawsuit in SPAK.
This Monday, the director of RTSH was asked in the Media Commission about these dismissals and about the trials opened by the employees.
Alfred Peza publicly misled by saying that 75% of the staff left have resigned. He even emphasized that no judicial process has been completed and there are no final decisions on dismissals.
"Until now, no process has been completed and there are no final decisions", said Peza.
But this deception made in the eyes of all Albanians has been refuted in just a few minutes. The Chairman of the Steering Council of the RTSH, Leka Bungo, in a debate with Peza in the commission, said that there were two trials lost by the RTSH. ( Read here )
He emphasized that two dismissed employees won their cases and received 56 million ALL in compensation.
"I told you not to fire people because they will win the lawsuits and you told me zero. You said no one won, I'm giving you two names that won, one 30 million, the other 26 million", emphasized Bungo.
Faced with the unmasking, Peza remained silent, but the truth, according to his colleague, is that the RTSH director lied.
Peza's statement:
Everything said here is a lie. It was said that there are 46 processes opened by RTSH employees. With certification, signature and seal of the persons in charge of the respective sectors, this number is not correct and so far no process has been completed and there are no final decisions. It is a certificate with an official letter that is also available to the commission, which proves that everything that was said is still "fake news".
On the other hand, even the processes in their right of every employee to pursue them administratively and judicially, we must have respect for another power, which is the power of justice, independent of the Parliament and other powers to give their word and we are here again, we will discuss again and of course we will clarify everything that was said.
To put an end to all "fake news" produced for personal interests, I want to tell you that from June 15, 2023, when I assumed the position of General Director of RTSH, until today, the total number of dismissed employees and the reasons for dismissal are as follows. There are 21 retired employees, 89 resigned employees, 44 dismissed employees, 12 employees who left the workplace. Total 166. So, 75% of the total are resignations, with voluntary departures because they were working from 2-3-4-5 jobs and they could not cope with the new controls and tasks established in the implementation of the law and the regulation of the operation of the RTSH. 75% of them have nothing to do with the "fake news" spread for personal reasons./ CNA
