Students and lecturers, on Friday, elected Lorenc Ekonomi as rector of "Fan S. Noli" University of Korça.

This Monday, he expressed his gratitude to those who voted for him, while promising to turn the University of Korça into a model of scientific research.

He showed the challenges and goals he has for running the University of Korça.

"I am here to thank all lecturers, students, commissioners, observers, candidates who participated in the elections for our university. I congratulate all the winners and thank all those who congratulated me on my victory.

We have many challenges ahead, we will overcome them together, we will work to overcome them. What are the challenges? First, our university will be transformed into a European university, with model scientific research and modern teaching. We will work hard for the internationalization of the university. We will work hard to become an intelligent factor in the region, to be as close as possible to the labor market and external public and business factors. Likewise, students will be best educated to be able to work in the global market not to leave our country, but to stay here and work in the field of artificial intelligence, etc. that are attached.

There will be changes, there will be new branches that are related to today's current affairs, with the developments that the entire global society has taken. The existing branches will be reinforced, there will be no problems with them. These will be regulated by the departments, they will decide what to do with the branches. We will do everything together, with all our strength", stressed Ekonomi./ CNA
