The well-known poet, Agim Doçi, has passed away at the age of 76.

For several days, he was in a serious state of health and was being treated at the Neurovascular Service of QSUT, after he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in the head on Saturday.

The singer Myfarete Laze announced the news on her social networks.

"Goodbye Goodbye, Agim Doçi.
O golden feather of poetic verse, sung for generations.
May this earth be easy as it is easy, beautiful, you made our life full of hope, wisdom, love, patriotism, values, carving the name of Agim Doçi into oblivion. As you touched every heart with your sung verse. Goodbye Agim Doçi" writes the well-known singer Myfarete Laze in a post on Facebook expressing condolences to his family. "Rest in peace with your God", writes Laze.

Agim Doçi is the author of many Albanian song lyrics, the winner of over 50 awards, among them a two-time representative with his lyrics in Eurovision.

He is distinguished by his collaboration with the composer Edmond Zhulali in many songs of festivals in Albania and with over 100 songs about the war in Kosovo. Among them can be mentioned very popular songs such as "Marrshi i UCK", "Is innocence killed"./ CNA
