Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about the summer tourist season.

He said that the high number of tourists is an achievement, it is a station on a road that is still up.

Rama mentioned the number of 1.1 million tourists who came in September alone and said that if the trend continues we can reach 10 million this year. But according to him, this year we will touch the ceiling of 9 million.

"It's an achievement, it's a stop on a road that's still up. This year's tourist boom presented us with sharp challenges. The risk that all this great good fortune will turn into a boomerang in the next year or in the next two or three years is real. It could boomerang if we are not prepared to experience greater demand in the coming year. We have many reasons to be proud of the work done. We can build a touristic Albania that extends to 365 days of the year. 1.1 million foreign visitors is the figure where September ended. If October and November will maintain the trend and if December will be positive, we can reach 10 million this year. But this year we will touch the ceiling of 9 million.
