Begaj commemorates the 115th anniversary of the birth of Eqerem Çabej/

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has commemorated the 115th anniversary of the birth of the albanologist Eqerem Çabej.

Begaj says that his life and work make our great academician the most representative name of Albanian sciences.

Among other things, he emphasizes that Eqrem Çabej deserves and will forever deserve the respect and gratitude of Albanian generations for centuries.

"I express all my respect and gratitude as the President of the Republic of Albania to Prof. Eqrem Çabeji today on the 115th anniversary of his birth, whose life and work make our great academician the most representative name of Albanian sciences.

With the dedication, vision and hard work of the great patriot and outstanding intellectual, as a scientist of the first order, but also as a scholar, thinker and brilliant pedagogue, Eqrem Çabej not only gave a scientific identity to Albanian academia, but what else important opened up clear horizons by orienting it towards the right direction, in favor of the discovery and scientific argumentation of the autochthony of the Albanians in the lands of their ancestors, of the Illyrian-Albanian continuity, of the Illyrian ethnogenesis and the origin of the Albanians from theirs.

For everything he gave to our country, people and nation, Eqrem Çabej deserves and will forever deserve the respect and gratitude of Albanian generations for centuries", Begaj said.
