The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has ruled regarding the destruction of 125 cannabis plants in the territory of the military zone of Zall Herri.

Peleshi condemns any illegal activity and encourages law enforcement bodies to do their duty in every case.

"The cooperation between the State Police and the Military Police made it possible to identify and then dispose of 125 cannabis plants, which were cultivated in a wooded area, in the territory of the military zone of Zall Herri. All responsible persons were immediately suspended from their duties. We strongly condemn any illegal activity. We encourage the law-enforcement bodies to do their duty in any case!", writes Peleshi on social networks.

In the village of Zall Herr, Tirana, 125 cannabis plants were found cultivated and destroyed.

3 employees of the military department were arrested in the act for abuse of duty, citizens: GM, 52 years old, with the duty of Head of the Security Section; RK, 25 years old, with the duty of Detection Specialist; G. Zh., 45 years old, with the duty of Security Specialist.

Four other citizens were also criminally prosecuted: AJ, 41 years old, Infrastructure Specialist; PH, 52 years old, with the duty of Deputy Platoon Commander; ID, 47 years old, warehouse worker; DP, 57 years old, acting Ward Commander.

These citizens, by their actions and inactions, abusing their duty, have allowed the cultivation of narcotic plants in the premises of the military ward./ CNA.al
