Three people have been handcuffed by the police after they were caught transporting 8 immigrants in an organized manner, by vehicle and supervising the road.

The arrested are citizens AL, 28 years old, GM, 34 years old and BP, 38 years old, all three residents of Tirana.

The 28-year-old was caught in the act, on the "Tepelën-Memaliaj" road axis, while transporting 8 immigrants from third countries with a vehicle, with the aim of illegally crossing the border, while the other 2 citizens were caught while driving in another vehicle. and supervised the road, to avoid Police patrols.

Their capture was made thanks to the coded police operation "Destination".

As material evidence, 2 vehicles, 500 euros and 25,000 lek suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity, as well as 5 mobile phones, were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions./ CNA.al
