On July 31, the Albanian authorities arrested in Tirana the former soldier of the KLA, Dritan Goxhaj, on behalf of the Special Court of Kosovo, which had declared him wanted.

But, recently, the Civic Forum has come out in defense of Dritan Goxhaj's case and has created an online petition .

The Civic Forum has invited Albanians to sign the petition virtually, to request the release of the former KLA fighter and his non-extradition to The Hague. So far, 609 people have signed this petition.

Even the "Krahu i Shqiponja" group has sided with the former KLA fighter. "Krahu i Shqiponja" has warned today of a protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office at 16:00, against the arrest of Dritan Goxhaj.

We remind you that the Special Court of Kosovo accuses Goxhaj of releasing the names of witnesses in several cases previously opened by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo.

The Court of Tirana ordered me "40 days of arrest in prison" by the Court of Tirana. Meanwhile, his arrest is aimed at extradition to the Specialized Chambers./ CNA.al
